Carl Jung was a great psychologist of symbolism. He believed that the imagination roamed where articulated knowledge had not yet voyaged, and that it was the artist and visionary who first explored new territory, civilizing it, in essence, for those who came later. The study of Jung makes the dead religious past spring back to life.

This is the modern day equivalent of sitting on a lecture from Socrates.
So jung was mentioned in the first 15 minutes then of of a interesting rant that might of had something to do with jung.
at 21:45 you really see why it's such as pleasure to listen to the guy speak, because he actually thinks. Everything he says is unfolded out of decades of accumulated competence and passion for the subject.
Pure genius.

I feel a massive urge to watch Pinocchio now
To understand really how unconscious psychological process are presented in mythological and genesis myth, read Paul Diel or try lmao cause it will probably make your brain sweat and steam.
Ooooh you're sooo clever jordon. You read Neeche and Younge
"so… I wanna show you something from Pinocchio"… I have been waiting for when he sneaks him in 😀 I love that man.
Love ? is a "possession"…been there Sherlock..and I just thought I got real stupid…
Would you say that archetypes are the characters you take with you into the unknown?
I swear I heard a pin drop somewhere between 41:55 and 42:10.
Would've love to see the students faces while Mr. Peterson was typing ?
42:49 – Excuse my intromission, Prof Peterson, but I feel I ought to straighten this point up: Pinocchio was first released as episodes between 1881 and 1882, and finally as a book in 1883, in Florence, Italy. It had been issued in the UK already in 1891, and later in the USA in 1898. It had been translated in most European languages throughout those decades while animations and films had been made in the early 10’s of the XX century. The Pinocchio you might refer to here is the Disney cartoon, in 1940…. but by then the story had already been established with its worldwide trend into the modern archetypal model that we know.
We need the Pinocchio footage
This man is no joke. If you quote him, make sure you listen to all his lectures & read all his literature. Talk about a misunderstood man!
I wish you would show the clip, it is in the public domain so you could show it…
Love this man ❤️

Thanks papa!
Disney is not in that classroom!
What he is saying again and again in his schizioid code is: kill the Jews. Those are the dragons and snakes. Don't you see? Peterson is mad, insane.

see you next tuesday, biatch
"The probability that the system is more flawed than you, is pretty damn low." Excellent talk.
You have more views than the bible, because you are a simple person. A single Peterson.
to what extent is JP a puppet to his huge intellect?
I totally agree about Jung. Reading his works has given me powerful insights into my own mind and the minds of others. I'd recommend to anyone just starting to read Jung to start with his book "The Undiscovered Self". It is a powerful quick read that describes the process of individuation, which In my opinion is the road to a fulfilling and purposeful life.
Carl jung is Jordan Peterson who needs proof of the ability I have he himself can ask me to explain to him what he is doing but not necessarily d0in6 because it's natural but also at the same time a simple /(\)\)/(\)\)/ on top of literally everything that could possibly excist that pertains to the final conclusion that you but i could tell you not in the public eye no stunts no nonsense no drama- besides making you read this comment cause of what i gathered watching a few vids. Not hard to see everyone that watches you can but cant use it cause they dont know IT actually excist- facts and no grammar haa
Its not shadow its shatter
Putting a giant broken mirror together year after year almost everyday till you can see yourself in the reflection again is the complete opposite. Shatter becomes shattered once you break that giant mirror into pieces that now allows you to see past just yourself but at the same time you now have access to all the individual broken pieces of glass.
Why would Pinocchio run away from the archetype of goodness? Is the “Fish” in fact a Leviathan, the archetype of evil? (It will be transformed into good after the Judgment Day and serve as a food in Eden).
I have six volumes of Jung's Collected works and his Dream Analysis and some books on Dreams for sale on Ebay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/LOT-Carl-C-G-Jung-Collected-Works-6-volumes-9-2-11-12-13-14-16-psychology/123719622238?hash=item1cce439e5e:g:UJEAAOSw9D1cWDKy
I try with Peterson and he is just ugh …I can appreciate teaching the works of Jung as I find him to be a fascinating character but he's not the smartest guy, brilliant as he was, that even I've read and working for the us during wwii, an anti-Semitic, racist society in and of itself, says nothing about Jung's poor social values.
I don't like Peterson he's shown himself as an intellectual light weight when it comes to serious discussion of philosophy and politics…however I can forgive some of it because he's a psychological guy…so I'm hoping to get some value of his lectures to understand the work of actual psychological figures who were notable in the field.
I'm coming in bias admittingly but still willing to listen and think on what I'm hearing. I think I owe myself that.
1:13:25 Peterson foreshadowing his carnivory
I'm on an anti- depressant, and I'm also at the bottom of most hierarchical systems I can conceive of…But since going on the medication, I've made a slow accumulation of practical steps towards the betterment of my position that I seemed incapable of before. I feel uncertain about this one part of what Dr. Peterson addresses in this lecture, based upon my own experience.
It's a bit like a chicken/egg conundrum, isn't it?
