Lex, you are an inspiration to humankind. Thank you for existing. You have helped me with the daily questions of existence and I appreciate you for more than I can verbalize in a youtube comment. All the best from Alaska.
I think consciousness is the idea or thought Of life …God is the origin of consciousness and by this human life was assembled. God simply put was a chemical engineer….
33:03 Thus Cell was born and tried to destroy the world. A litteral arc in the Dragon Ball Z series. #toungueandcheekresponse
So in the end I didn't get how exactly he defines life tbh.
"But I'd still pet it…" my thoughts exactly lmao, i was laughing when he said it so seriously lol
Love these conversations…just an aside: it would make me very sad if it was easy "to create life" (in a lab, for example)…but, I am not sad, I am happy, because of something another great English mind (Chris Hitchens) came up with: (a Socratic idea) "the more inquiries we make into the substance/nature of things the more questions arise, and the more we realize we don't know" (paraphrased)
You can create a food synthesizer
Particles join (valance-bonds) precisely as do black holes and everything else. So long so you observe level and scale and the appropriate influence of the local forces.
Energy barriers are as directed life laws .
Love you Lex…love all these shows even the ones with people I know are enemies of American ideals, like some have been but I won't be so bold as to name them, because who am I anyway…nobody…just another monkey with an opinion 🙂
Great podcast. I wonder what he thinks about Rupert Sheldrake's idea that the laws of physics are more like habits, and theory of morphic resonance in general.
You should invite Chemist James Tour to talk about why Lee is missing the mark.
You are one of my only inspirations in life currently Lex. We need you, don't doubt that for a second. Bringing actual unbiased content from all sides. How society should be allowed to see things.
Wait–I don't really follow alien news but back in 2015 I had what over the following weeks deduced only could have been transdimentional contact as it appeared thinner than onion skin but definitely exhibited non random movements and I could perceive some sort of discomfort at points of intersection (so I don't see why the assumption was that it was contrived and dismissively chuckle and discard)
But because I thought it to be in an adjacent but non original dimensional frame, I must have been an interpretation of sensory inputs that my mind was projecting on the world around me.
But therein too I figure lies the hey in a truly "grand unifying theory" that can explain the ether, chi energy, etc as able to interact with 2D
In the way people generally would discount the example of willing an object across the room into my hand as being "The Force" if I extend my hand and someone fetches the object and puts it into my hand, until we accept that is one manifestation of it, science really isn't able to see the forest for the trees.
I am started a PhD at a "research university" some years ago but found it to be, like so many other things in our world today, much more scientific than my friends programs at traditional researxh universities when we were disallowed from discussing or expressing research directions:
The way that PhD students first become inculturated traditional researxh universities before even beginning the program by idolizing their supervisors is like telling a child that 1+1=2 and robbing them of the ability to understand instead of memorize/recall it through experimentally elucidating the process of addition, forever+-
Your podcasts are so freaking awesome and amazing. Always interesting.
Every time I hear the beginning of this conversation, it just reaffirms my belief in a god
You don't believe in God? A creator? 🥺
I nominate the guest as the next bad boy in the sequel to No Country for Old Men, called NCFOM II.
If I was an alien life form watching earth. Waiting for an opportunity to open communication with an open minded person with some small influence with a larger group of earthlings. Lex would deff be one of my first contacts if not the first. Because of his knowledge thirst, open mindedness and true desire to begin that relationship.
That It I appoint Lex as our representative for the meeting and opening dialog.
You're podcast is not silly you are doing great work Lex
Lex your show is eye opening. But when i put my phone down i don't think about your future ventures. Just do the interview.
If humans can create life from scratch, like nothing, my mind would be blown.
Not silly. Probably the most important thing I've ever found on YouTube
Look how different the technology of our ancient ancestors and the lost civilizations of earths were from our current technology.
Now imagine how different the technology would be of another planet or galaxy etc
Lex getting excited about chem bonds is adorable. Life is the universe developing a memory. Wouldn't this imply that 'avatar theory' is more plausible – Could there be a central most balanced consciousness? if majority agrees yes, does that change the objective universe? If the universe is subjective when either the collective mind or avatar decides, does that mean we are creating the universe? ..we are the universe.
This guy. If lex disagrees with him, he changes his stance. Non-consistent, sinking sand worldview
