See http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pWmOEyZil3w for UEFI/GPT booting.

See http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iyx8LUHshsc for BIOS/MBR booting.

See lothaz0r’s comparison (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQIE5tV2LAs) with 2x Kingston HyperX 3K SSDs in RAID 0 on Windows 8 with larger effect if GPT is used along with UEFI.

UEFI/GPT (left) leads, BIOS/MBR (right) trails.
Per Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2015’s timecode precision at 30 FPS, 1 frame equals to ~33 milliseconds.

The rig is running Windows 10 Pro 64-bit with all updates installed on a Samsung 840 EVO 120GB SSD. The system has been completely optimized using tweaks from Ultimate Windows Tweaker 4.0 and from TweakGuides Tweaking Companion.

Both boot and storage drive have been converted to use GUID Partition Table without data loss using AOMEI Partition Assistant Professional Edition. Boot mode has been set to UEFI Only in Gigabyte’s UEFI DualBIOS setup before conversion.

Storage drive has three partitions merged into one using the same software mentioned above.

Why GPT? Because the older MBR is unable to address storage media capacities higher than 2,199 GB (4,294,967,296 x 512 bytes).

The video is edited on Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2015 and is then exported as a mathematically lossless video using MagicYUV.

Captured at 3840×2160 resolution using Samsung Galaxy Note 3. Video stabilization is not available at 3840×2160, however, available at 1920×1080.
