Sensory perception through various modalities generate and experience that because of our language gives us the dialogue that we can consciously be aware of and by the conversion of those stimuli into a means of communication and articulation of those stimuli into experiences that occurs over time and within space into a configuration that generates an ability for us to tap into and deduce our reality.

The title of this video is completely inaccurate — Greene, like most thinkers, can't even get out of the starting gate describing what consciousness is, much less theorizing where it comes from.
