Two Kingston HyperX 3k SSD disks in Raid0 with Intel Rapid Storage Technology.
I compare the boot time between a MBR and GPT partition table.
Same computer in both videos.
Kingston HyperX 3K SSD
ASUS P8Z77-V PRO
Intel Core i7-3770
16GB Kingston ram
Can you link to a guide or write the process for formatting an SSD in GPT and installing Windows 8 on it? When I built my computer a few months ago I unknowingly put it in MBR and just now realizing that my boot time could be better if I did GPT.
Weird. I have Windows 8.1 installed on a 5400rpm Hard Disk using MBR partition and it starts faster than your SSD (MBR).
Incredible! GPT ssds makes the computer turn on faster! 😛
You are doing [UEFI vs BIOS] or [UEFI GPT vs UEFI MBR]
How do you know whether your current hard drive is MBR or GPT?
ssd kingston 240gb, .m2 – windows 10, 9 sec
Could you please tell me what configuration was made? Especially in the advanced tab in bios!!!
Tha's because GPT = UEFI boot = faster boot.. Then, after boot, both MBR and GPT have the same speed = same read and same write speeds.. Nevertheless, always go with GPT when installing a new system..
In an older non-UEFI computer, MBR is much faster. Do not use GPT on a non-UEFI computer
What a race xd thank you
