So I’m currently a respiratory therapist at a hospital and wanting to advance. I was thinking of biomedical engineering but haven’t found many jobs in my area. But then I was thinking mechanical engineering because of its versatility. As a biomedical engineering major, I am here to tell you that not most biomedical engineering jobs can be done with a mechanical eng degree. Your claim proves your lack of knowledge of the field, as there is more to biomed eng than prosthetics and medical machinery. It includes cellular and tissue engineering, and cancer research.

Civil engineering give you a lot of job roles to be in and great salaries as well. Imagine how much can you make if you start your own business after getting the necessary experience. I will put civil engineering a bit higher than a B XD.
The pros of being a bachelor civil engineer is you have a lot of areas to work in like structural, geotechnical, hydraulics, etc… And you never get bore, because every project is different and always has something new to learn.
