ChatGPT is now the fastest-growing consumer app in human history. Problem is, almost no one knows how it actually works. This is everything you need to know.

Thanks for watching! This is a deeper dive than usual — hope it's useful. And let me know what you think of the new [FACILITY] rooms! The Kevins worked for months on them. Can you spot all the easter eggs?
This video enforces what I have already learned about ChatGPT, that its proponents are a bunch of weirdos peddling a lot of cheap hype. So far, however, I have been unable to determine that there is any more to it than that.
Hi Kyle, great job! You talk about computer speaking using a language model. I want to ask you where did you down load your model? Are you self taught? Did you study public speaking? Anyway great job.
“Moisturized, in my lane, flourishing”…This is my new motto 🥰
Id you steal "Gameers!" address from SkillUp or is it just a coincidence?
You're the second person ever I hear that from.
It took so much restraint to not go double check his knife skills
Not evolution design
Made me think about how mother nature outperforms us at AI generation. Millions of dollars a day are basically spent on a brute-force dataset processing with 96xtimes of redundant polishing. Basically, our best AI is a huge shotgun, which shoots millions of rounds every time it needs to hit a single target is hit. At the same time, it does not even know if the target was actually hit or not, since it does not understand what it is doing. That is a huge waste of resources when compared to the brain of the living beings on the planet.
Chat gpt is not AI, it is just another type of user interface, one that can be much more easily abused by the programmers to put out disinformation. Google is full of disinformation, but at least you can filter the garbage out. You can't do that with chat gpt, the disinformation it gives you is final on it's terms.
Нет слов, просто потрясающе
You lost me when you were channeling John Oliver
Awesome John Oliver!
great thumbnail
How much CO2 is being generated to run CGPT and mine Bitcoin?
It's alive!
Great and informative video. I was able to learn little bit more about ChatGPT even though I I thought I was already informed
gosh, ChatGPT passes medical exam.
AI is naturally racist because it is unbiased and values objective facts.
This makes me wonder how many dimensions the matrix in the human brain has, considering the human brain is naturally multi model and processes all 5 senses, as well as language, music, object recognition, and many of the chemical regulation in the human body, but the chemical regulation along with keeping our heart beating is luckily automatic. And the human brain can do what an AI does, it's just that we have slow hands and slow mouths for the output of data meaning if a person does art, we do it very slow, but it's almost instant in our brain, if we listen to a certain singer we then know their voice, hence we've basically trained our brain to what their voice sounds like, and if we learn a song, in our brains we can take that voice and have it sing that song sung by someone else,, but we can only play it for others if we're really good at imitation of voices and we have trouble with the backup music cause of limitations of our mouths and larynx, but an AI can use a speaker, and can make the music and vocals at the same time if it's been trained on enough of it.
Holy crap I did not realize how many AI terms came straight from D&D. Brilliant!
It is going to be nuts when A.I creates A.I, training times are going to shrink smaller and smaller until what? That is hard to imagine but let us hope we are still around and not dispatched as a hindrance to it's development.
How do we know cregg isn't a replaced character.
I still don't know what ChatGPT is. You kept talking and now I'm bored.
It's non profit? I pay $20/month for GPT4
So they ADD bias into it, to make it less accurate, because…. bias? It can't be biased, it's a machine.
What can I use it for?
10:50 – The "Theory" of evolution. Similar to Germ Theory, Virus Theory, Theory of Gravity, Baal Earth Theory….yes, Baal, as in tilted at 66.6° with Arctic Circle at 66.6° North & Antarctic at 66.6° South…and going around the Sun at 66.6 thousand MPH—-so, yeah…Baal, Moloch, Lucifer, Satan, the Devil….evil.
God is an amazing creator. Even with all our intelligence, we had to mimic what God already created.
OK, so the question then becomes: what is your definition of real? Naturally there must be methods of archiving the provenance of any content to be found on the Internet (ie. whether it is human-borne, AI-borne, or most likely some hybrid of the two)
BUT and I can not stress this enough: falsifying information is not a new concept. Humans have been doing it since the dawn of History, and being worried that AI follows suite seems somehow….pointless?
Perhaps the largest concern would be that AI may eventually do so faster, better, and more convincingly than humans. But that must surely be monitored and limited by its developers?
Either way , love it or hate it, AI is officially HERE. How we deal with it is the next big question.
Don't get me wrong, I do NOT think chatgpt is sentient. That said, I do think the reason given here that when it's not receiving an input, it's not "thinking" is interesting (and perhaps problematic) I.e., it only ever RESPONDS. That's it. Full stop. But that way of constraining and/or defining sentience is interesting since we could ask, is the same true of humans? Then the question hinges on how we treat "inputs". We (our bodies, our brains) constantly receive inputs….constantly. If all inputs were to stop, I'd think we'd no longer be sentient as well….though there's another name for that'–death. Then is the converse true for something like chatgpt? That is, if it were constantly receiving "inputs", is it sentient? I don't think so but the (albeit very brief) treatment leaves that interpretation open.
All difficult things have their origin in that which is easy, and great things in that which is small.
So It snapshots the cat-ness, as a numberical wave function, and cross refrences all the similar waves about cat-ness , giving a number salad that weighs/maths "like" cat-ness sentence!?
drawing a parallel between the opacity of neural networks and the functioning of our conscious/unconscious minds may be misguided; this line of reasoning is a false equivalence (two unknowns are generally not related), but will be used to anthropomorphize AI systems, which I assume you would oppose
the feedback problem seems interesting – how will LLMs work when their training data has almost entirely been written by other LLMs, or previous versions of themselves?
