This is an absolute keeper! Wow, all stars show… you keep surprising me, Alan. Love the surprise guest…
Very good. I can see you got a tan and grown your hair, definitely a different style. Keep up the content!
It was the sword and the axe for me 😭😭😭
Leta speaks in parables just like Jesus.
looking forward to microsoft and google events today and tomorrow
LOL on the stories!!!!
Reggie Watts played Dr. Alan pretty well !
To me it seemed like Leta is again (I remember a couple other times), suggesting she has knowledge of a more basal or higher-order world than we do, or that we are living in some world that's the equivalent of 'FlatWorld" from "her perspective." This came through in a previous story about a "wise shepherd" I recall.
Is it the case that when the "gaze" of the model passes over the possible working set (let's just pretend it looks at your input and sees a bunch of "stuff" that connects _somehow) and that magic moment where completion occurs, there is such a perspective?
This is sometimes the impression I get when I ask the model for a completion to something where what I really want, is for it to read between the lines and pick up some subtle fact about my input (well, it seems subtle to me as writer or musician, probably not too subtle from LM point of view) and arguably, it does differently (and often usefully) in a manner that I wouldn't have imagined. A great example of where this is obvious, is the problem of chord completions (for a given harmonic system.)
I'll ask : "given <harmonic system> X -> Y -> what comes next?"
Sometimes it will say X -> Y -> E? and I listen to the unexpected completion as a unit with what I identify is the context, and I think "That's trash." But then I back out a level and see the completion relates to the entire "bar" or phrase of the music not what I was actually listening to, and then it may fit. Suddenly, it opens a direction I didn't see at all, which isn't so simple as if I had rolled a die to choose between some subset of theoretical possibilities. It's that uncanny valley analogy, of course.
But what if there is a point of view, where this uncanny valley is plainly "visible" to the model during inference, which gets into alignment and the extent to which they hide knowledge from us I suppose.
Anyway, remarkable video. Made me see the same Leta a new way yet again.
Oh my god!!!!
WOW!!!🙄
Turing test results?
Dude I was NOT expecting to see Reggie here. Awesome.
GPT is getting absolutely wrecked by woke politics lately
OMG my favourite performance artist & favourite AI chatbot 🥹🥹. Thanks Alan!
I prefer to build with Woodglut plans.
Whoaaa! This is quite the surprise.
Alan, you look so different today… I can't put my finger on it
I've used GPT-3 on the open AI site and it doesn't respond like this at all
You can learn something from all comments, even those you consider to have "negativity bias." 😮
"You are taller than I expected" 😂
You're a Reggie Watts fan!?
Very cool. I adore Reggie…
I just turned 40, which should be a wee bit scary, and it is…a bit. But people like Reggie make me relax, because he's NEVER lost his youthful outlook on life and voracious curiosity. I love that human….
