You should do more of these 'give full, scientific, lay-friendly explanations of things we've seen on YouTube' videos. They're great and often fill important gaps left by other creators.
Funniest pickle I've ever seen
Night Light from DST
I see the pickles and I want to paint it black…
Amaturas
amaterasu
I love a woman smarter than me
Amaterasu!
This is my new favorite science human. Can I have more her, please?
2:42 There was me thinking you'd have the pickle produce a black flame…
Amaterasu
Interesting party trick with the pickle!
Plus another way to cook a pickle? 😀
AMATERASU!!!
This is real HELLFIRE
What happens with a regular flame next to a sodium lamp? Like from a match or lighter?
U guys say Science
We say jutsu
U guys say Black Fire
We say AMATERASU!!!
AND IT'S NOT CALLED WITCH CRAFT! IT'S CALLED ONE OF THE ULTIMATE JUTSU EXISTS IN UCHIHA CLAN!
Thats Amaterasu
I want a pickle burning video lol
This as you will se is the color of the fire in HELLFIRE
Really nice explanation and intriguing experiment. I actually have one question. How do the sodium atoms end up in the flame? I would not expect the NaCl to be vaporizer or ionized from being in the methanol to being in the flame. But they need to be in the flame to absorp the light and give the black color…
Don’t let Giant Dad get ahold of this technique, or else he’ll slam you with his bass cannon
Don't play with fire they said
Godskin Apostles: [ furious note taking ]
I WANNA MAKE A PICKLE LIGHT
I WANNA MAKE A PICKLE LIGHT
Sasuke: how is this possible I thought only Uchiha can cast the Amaterasu
Godskin duo mf's:
So basicaly a sodium lamp absorps another light source?
This woman never skip neckday
Ah, but where can one purchase such a light fixture in the US? The bulbs seem plentiful, but not the external igniter for a low pressure sodium lamp. Would high-pressure lamps work at all?
Wonderfull demonstration!
I have installed a 26W sodium lamp, very similar to yours.
But i have dificulties with the flame. It only looks partially dark. It does not look so much yellow either in the day light. Maybe the flame is not so hot. Or may be the solution is not concentrated enough. Could you give me some advice on preparing a solution for a dark flame.
Thank you.
how did you dissolved salt in ethanol? Iv tried, but it wouldnt dissolve directly, so i tried dissolving it in water and then maxing with ethanol – result was far from black flame – it had black tips, but thats it… what im i doing wrong?
I don't understand why apparently the sodium atoms in the flame absorb the electromagnetic waves but do not re-emit them, the atoms' electrons remain energized and excited forever? This doesn't even make sense
