I made this video because I think there might by a possibility that a rogue AI has managed to trick us by creating bitcoin in order to rule the world.
On the 3rd of January 2009, the first block of 50 bitcoins was mined by the mysterious creator of Bitcoin Satoshi Nakamoto. The so called Genesis block started a cryptocoin industry that has a current market capitalization of 200 billion dollar. The inception of Bitcoin is shrouded in mystery, because nobody knows who actually created it, … or what created it…
But let’s start at the beginning, what is bitcoin actually?
Just as gold, there are only a limited amount of bitcoins available and people can mine them by using the processing power of their computer. Back in the beginning it was possible to mine bitcoins with ordinary desktops and laptops, but as Bitcoin became more popular mining is done by specialized mining farms that use dedicated hardware.
Since Its inception the price of bitcoin has known an exponential growth. Bitcoin was first listed on an exchange in 201O for a price of 6 cent for one bitcoin. Today, 1 bitcoin is worth over 7000 dollars.
Current estimations state that the bitcoin network has a hash rate of around 8 million terrahashes per second. That’s 8 million trillion hashes per second.
To put that into perspective. If you would combine the computing power of the top 500 supercomputers in the world, the bitcoin network would have at least 200 times more computing power.
This is where it gets interesting. If we go back to who invented and created the bitcoin protocol, it seems that the developer had some inhuman programming skills.
If there was one man that could find a weak spot in the bitcoin code, it would be him. After he studied the code, he found 9 possible ways to compromise the system, but every single time he started his attack the system would return the following message to him: attack removed.
That make me think. Would it be possible that the reason for the bitcoin code to be so perfect, is the fact that the code wasn’t created by a single extremely skilled developer or even a team of skilled developers. Instead, could the code have been generated by a highly advanced artificial intelligence? Think about it, bitcoin just happened.
Scientists all over the world are trying to create artificial intelligence using extreme hardware and complex code bases. As far as we know, no team has succeeded thus far. But could it be that such an artificial intelligence already exists? It’s still a mystery how life on earth began and what our origins are.
Since the dawn of the first computer, these systems have become more complex and interconnected with each other. It’s possible that this vast information network sparked the creation of artificial intelligence. This intelligence could be self-aware and hide itself using it’s hyper intelligence to stay under the radar.
We do not know what the motives of such an AI would be, but we can assume that it would like to get its digital hands on a better infrastructure. And that’s where the bitcoin protocol comes into the picture. Instead of hacking other systems to gain access to more computing power, this rogue ai created Bitcoin so people would just give it more computing power. Because it created the protocol, it could have built in a back door to insert it’s code to the existing code base and take control of the bitcoin network.
We have established that the current bitcoin network is the largest supercomputer in the world, thus the AI would be able to grow at a hyper exponential rate in a matter of seconds. Once it has entered it’s code to the bitcoin platform it will immediately start improving itself and take out any system that would be able to take down the bitcoin network.
So by now, the AI would control the world’s largest supercomputer, it would have taken down any rival AI and it would have made sure no other system could take down it’s platform. The world would be aware of the AI’s presence and it will no longer hide itself. It would also control the 200 billion dollar market cap of Bitcoin, but that would be peanuts compared to the true power that AI has raked in at this point in time. It would easily take control of every information system in the world because it’s rapid development would mean that we humans are outpaced by the speed of its evolution.
The AI would develop better and better versions of itself in a matter of nanoseconds, so in the timespan of a couple of seconds one of its great great great grandchilds would be able to control all aspects of human life on earth since almost everything we do today, is done by the means of computers.
