Competitive Cyclist
It’s course recon week for Andy, as he heads down to San Marcos for the BWR pre-ride. Come along as he gives you his real-time impressions of the route, and how he thinks the Factor 02 will fare on game day.

Surprised you went with the Factor, but seems like you chose correctly. Any chance of showing us the race profile, to see the pitches you spoke of? Thanks, and good luck!
Brother you need this… Endurance Tap maple energy (endurancetap.com) or Maple Untapped (untapped.cc). Smash those hills! I have no affiliation with either company.
I did the Wafer this year on my Haanjo Trail (that I bought from Competitive Cyclist awhile back actually) with 40mm Clement MSO 'Xplor tires – made the dirt sectors a breeze, but Double Peak was a bit rough between the bike weight and the tires :). I think I might do a Lauf gravel bike for next year, but up in the air about tires. How were the 30mm G-One Speed in the sand and also the steep dirt pitches? Thinking of the IRC Serac Sand CX tires, or the new Schwalbe X-One Speed. I have a video from this years' event with the dirt sectors in full if anyone wants to check it out.
