This is my drum cover of “Cognitive Contortions” by Animals As Leaders from their album “The Madness Of Many”.
This will probably be my last drum cover for a while, as I will be focusing my drum time primarily on tracking drums for the Constant Motion EP. We have a lot of material to be recorded so hopefully there will still be drum playthroughs in the next few months.

Also, this is a nice Halloween video seeing as there are so many ghost notes flying on that snare that it's fuckin' haunted at this point.
So good, it's inspiring!
Sick !
Amazing sound!!+1?
Joe Garstka

You're a wizard man, amazing cover as always. You should teach/sell lessons for sure. Definitely one of the greatest drummer out there.

that shit was naaaaasty, in the best way possible
Great drumming as always. Note that this is not a criticism but a question for someone trying to get into more advanced stuff. I notice that during the intro he didn't really raise his leg for the the high hat bark. Anyone know if in general it is better to always lift the full leg, because for me, i find it ridiculously difficult to have that complete independence.
Dude….you straight played this note for note and even added stuff in. Amazing shit bro. God damn.
That’s awesome! 🙂
Next please, Animals as Leaders Transcendence
Unreal

what did i just watch
just everything about you is perfect holy shit
your velocity throughout everything is insane
I don’t know if I can truly express how thankful I am to have this video at my fingertips whenever I want. This is absolutely, 100%, the best Animals As Leaders song in their history. When I first listened to it I almost didn’t want to believe the ghost notes that I was hearing from Matt’s left hand. I still get the same joy listening to the song now, compared to when they first released this album. Anyways, I thought I could never touch this song on the drums (still can’t), and I also thought that I would never find a YouTube drum cover of it. My mind is blown trying to comprehend that someone actually put in the work to cover this song for me. THANK YOU, Joe Fenney. You are without a doubt one of the best YouTube drum cover artists. You rock man ?
Ragnarok – Periphery!
How does this only have 2k views?!?!?! Lmao this is absolutely insane, you'll be famous soon I promise. Keep up the good work!
That’s cool stuff! Technical one!
Really liked! I Subscribed. Please check out my channel! ? Pls sub if you like and not done!
I don't even know how its possible to be this good… Honestly Matt's parts are so all over the show you'd have to remember every beat seperate from the song as a whole to get it 100%… Well done bro, you're achieving the impossible here xD
Dude……Wow.
I'm just laughing watching this. This is absolutely crazy. You played this to a T. Fantastic work!
Superb, what energy, great stuff my man
Master cover
Those ghost notes are INSANE!!!

Always enjoy watching your vids man!! Cant wait to hear what you've been working on brother!!
Most underrated drum channel on all of YouTube imho. Pumping out AAL songs this fast is unreal and deserves way more attention. Props
the ending of this song is so fucking hype
Absolutely monstrous job! Incredible! I wanna know who the one guy that disliked this is so i can politely inform him about his stupidity. 😀
Jesus, man.
I don't know how is it posible, but this cover is more accurate and easy to understand than the original playthrough. Infinite Respect
