The public art we see around us often has little to do with the public. How can we move towards better kind of art in our cities? Andrew Shoben, founder of greyworld, talks about the potential of small interventions, embedded into the urban fabric of a public space. His art allows self-expression in areas of the city that people see everyday but normally exclude and ignore. And lets people play with the city.
In the spirit of “ideas worth spreading,” TED has created TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
