  1. Pfff.. IS THIS IT??? I EXPECTED SO MUCH OF BUTLER. But all I find is sooo thin. Seriously. IS THIS IT? So, very basic, banal, trivial silogic elements missing: Of course we perform our gender, gender is performed and performative. But WHERE DO YOU INFER THAT BY PERFORMING IT ITS (ALLEGED) MOTOR DOES NOT EXIST? I am not affirming anything. I am merely inquiring. How does the fact that we perform something inform us about the origin, character, (id) entity of who we are and that very performance? How does the performance exclude the possibility of us being something outside the performance?

(I hope I am waaaay wrong, because so far this smells like a cheap postmodern borrowing, clumsily tried to made fit to the author's particularity. Yes, gays do exist 100% legitimately but are we trying to legitimise LGBT by denying the ontological definers of gender?) Yes, "normal", in the sense of casuistic, statistical ontic occurrence.

I hope somebody will soon criticise me, destroy me and show me what fundamental ontological self-evidence I am missing because THIS IS SO FAR VERY MEDIOCRE.

  2. This is Crap, infants choose girls/boys Toys before being a year old. Testosterone affects the Brain even before birth, thus boys become more interested in objects and develop language slower. Girls on the other hand, are interested in people/faces being more attracted to dolls and develop language faster. There is scientific evidence of this… Fuck Butler

  3. "Pyschology Today" has an interesting article about the science of gender differences. There are around 100 known gender differences in psychological functioning. Many more will be discovered in time. The idea that gender is not rooted in biology and psychology is an ignorant ill-informed position. Butler is a willy ignorant charlatan. Gender is deeply rooted in biology.

  4. Instead of this cartoon nonsense there should be a picture of a massive shit. That would tell you so much more about this ridiculous woman and her silly theory.

  5. So, is the goal to eliminate gender? Not sure how that helps society. In fact, it seems like it would cause more harm than good. The vast majority of people 95+% are very comfortable with traditional gender roles. What's the benefit of removing them and having more people confused about who they are? So the 5% can "feel normal"?
