I wish you the best for race day and look forward to the other videos that are still coming. – If I was you, I'd do the waffle. 225km isn't that hard if you train well.
All great options, and shows that what you want out of the event is the deciding factor. Based on the description I probably would have chosen the Bianchi or Ibis since I'm not going to ever be close to the front. Just along for the fun!

Hohoho… really nice dirt roads? Hohohoho! (I'm thinking he hadn't pre-ride Hodges North rock fields, Del Dios Gorge, Sandy Bandy, and the Ridgeline trail down Double Peak!).
I plan on doing the BWR this year however I have a road bike.. is that okay? What tires do you recommend and size?
