Unbelievable? engages in fundamental questions on Christianity with the intention to openly discuss different opinions between Christians and non-believers.
Each Saturday, in the award-winning programme Unbelievable, Justin Brierley asks questions like:
Is there evidence for God? Can we trust the Bible? Did Jesus rise from the dead?
Justin tackles these and other issues, on a show that gets Christians and non-believers talking to each other.

How can you disprove something that hasn’t been proven lol
In the marketplace of competing ideas which sounds grounded upon logic?
A world created from no-thing OR
world created by a Creator
life from non-life OR
Life from ultimate Life
persons from the impersonal OR
persons from the Super-personal
minds from the mindless OR
minds from the ultimate Mind
order from the orderless OR
order from an Orderer
reason from the non-rational OR
reason from a rational Being
morality from the non-moral OR
morality from a moral Person
information without a sender OR
information from a Sender
code from a non-programmer OR
code from a personal programmer
truth from an accident OR
truth from the ultimate Truth
A naturalist's attempt to use logic ,when that logic had to spring from the illogical. This non-rational,cannot produce the rational. or the impersonal, the personal.
The source or foundation of man's logic and reason, was not itself rational.nor personal(self-aware,intelligent).
Rather it was a non-rational,impersonal process without purpose consisting of a combination of genetic mutations, variations, and environmental factors, random chance and blind impersonal natural process produce humanity's rational faculties.
Not even going to watch this- just going to reply to the title. Science has disproved some of the claims in the bible such as a global flood or how the universe was 'created'- but it hasn't disproved god entirely.
That's only because theists have to shove god in a completely different dimension to the point where it cannot be demonstrated to be true or false. It's an empty assertion.
How is one supposed to falsify the unfalsifiable
As GOD, I provide identity and possession with reward. What men choose to name or title me is at their discretion.
I prefer that they do so, as this allows me to hide in plain sight. I am that I am. Mr. Condemnation
Nick Spencer sees a tidal wave and says "Well to be fair, a gallon of water over there is actually headed away from shore, so you've got to tread cautiously with this idea"
This is the laziest theistic argument imaginable. The universe either had a beginning or it is eternal. You’ve got a 50% shot at getting it right, and it is nothing more than the loosest of correlations at that, nothing even approaching evidence of a creator. After so much that theology got wrong its just pure confirmation bias to put so much weight on this. Heres a thought: if the Bible actually was the inspired word of the creator of the universe NOTHING should be factually incorrect in it!
"Disproved" is another of those crazy english words. English people drive in a "parkway" and park in a "driveway".
You can't disprove, because then it wasn't proved it the first place ! That is precisely the message of Jesus and the Book of Jonas !
"Which is easier, to say, "Your sins are forgiven" or "Get up and walk" ?
Science can demonstrate a cause and effect of the physical universe, but can't prove that this cause is the end of the process. It would require "omniscience" (know all) to "prove"it.
We can only say "based on our present knowlege".
That's why atheism is indeed a sect of beliefs.
YT atheist have a comprehension problem. The question was; has Science validated a secular/atheistic view of reality?
Answer is absolutely not. Pinker has an old Newtonian view of the world and hasn’t integrated the quantum world, the holographic principle, and advancements of structuralism
Max Planck, German Physicist, said it best:
“Whence come I and whither go I? That is the great unfathomable question, the same for every one of us. Science has no answer to it.”
In an attempt to argue against Pinker, the religious will commonly say "well science can only tell us about the physical world, but God is outside the realm of science". This is true, however, science is making more and more Christian views about the world less plausible by the minute. For just some of the many examples…
– Evolution. When did the first soul come into humans? Was it only homo sapiens? or did the Neanderthals get souls too?
– Creation. Religious people must now maintain that the writers of Genesis knew that what they were writing was "just a story", yet fundamentalists still hold (as the writers of Genesis did) that it was literal fact.
– Design. It's interesting that a universe specially designed for humans is almost 100% uninhabitable, save the Earth. And even on the Earth, 2/3s of it are uninhabitable due to oceans.
