The quintet was founded by Paweł Mańka, Polish jazz guitarist and composer. The members of the band met themselves during their studies in the jazz department at Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice. They draw inspiration from surrounding reality, which, so as improvisation, is deeply affected by communication. The name of the band refers to study of sign process – semiotics. The musical influences of the group include modern American and European jazz and contemporary classical music. .
