Out ‘act of observing the world’ has a role to play in physics. My guess is that we, observing beings, have a lawful connection with the observed objects. Both in Quantum Mechanics and Relativity Theory, observers, are important. My guess is: in order to have a unified theory, we need the variable ‘(conscious) observer’ in the equations. Until then, we will not have a unified theory of everything wich exist in nature.

yes.. observation is like fire and it destroys conventional thinking. Observer is important here. In MANDUKYA upanishad, 7th stanza explains the same. You means YOU are only a observer … nothing else. It is TURIYA state of mind. This video is greatly explained this.
