1. The host certainly lacked a refined social grace, but I feel he redeemed himself with his enthusiastic and glowing praise of Kurzweil at the end. His sincerity in this regard would have made Dale Carnegie proud, and I thank him as a whole for doing this interview so that it be available to us today.

11. This is an epic interview. I don't mind the host, he's trying to keep up with one of the most ridiculously talented minds to ever exist… Kurzweil is going to be in the press more and more over the next few years as people start to really feel the pace of change in computing… The Chess Board analogy also blew my mind.

15. oh give the host a break. he was like 87 in this interview and struggling to grasp what the internet was. its a wonder he was able to pick up the phrase "parallel processing"

16. I saw him in a segment with Marilyn Savant and he wasn't a good host there, either. Tries to participate when he obviously doesn't have anything useful to ass, instead of letting the interviewee keep going.

21. I agree with you. Ray in 2013 has this strange facial twitch which causes him to scrunch his forehead/eye area. It's very distracting when trying to focus on his words and he does that throughout the video..

22. Probably has to do with the side effects / conflict between the hundred+ pills he takes every day. Although, he is probably a homeopath given his work with Terry Grossman, M.D.H. (Med. Doctor of Homeopathy). At 21, I'm skeptical if we'll achieve 'immortality' in my lifetime if I were to live to even 100. Here, Kurzweil is 50 and absolutely confident he will get there. He's 65 now..

It's astounding how ahead of the curve Ray has been and all of his predictions are the same, go back more than ten years ago to this video his main predictions are human level AI and reverse engineering the human brain by 2029 and the singularity by 2045 and has the same thesis in his talks today
