  1. Sean Carroll in response to the mysticism of some of some of the founders of Quantum Mechanics derisevly states that the founders of QM are dead, they have been dead a long long time and that we now know much more about QM since they've passed on. The problem with this argument is that long after Bohrs, Planck and Heisenberg died, QM has only gotten much more wierd and much more mystical. Non-Locality is now a Given. There is the Double-Slit experiment with the added bizzarness of Delayed Choice and Delayed Choice Quantum Eraser. Sean Carroll is disingenuous.

  2. Here's the point: Eben Alexander was even MORE CONSCIOUS when his brain had shut down completely! He was COMATOSE. Most NDE experiencers, who have been completely brain-dead with their heart stopped, no brain activity, and subsequently pronounced CLINICALLY DEAD, and then later were revived, these people were able to describe exactly what was going on in the operating room. So, how did they see and hear everything while clinically dead? It's because Consciousness is NOT an integral part of the human physical brain. The brain only DECODES Consciousness, which is non-local. Dr. Eben Alexander knows what he's talking about. On the other hand, Sean Carroll needs to drop his ego and stupid beLIEf systems of material Science and learn about the true nature of Consciousness.

  3. Blind people seeing when they die is inexplicable by Neuroscience. This defies all their knowledge and it frightens them that they could be wrong.

  4. The moderator totally misunderstood Eben's point and thereby undermined his argument. If Eben was trying to argue that "science isn't relevant to this" he certainly wouldn't have brought up quantum mechanics. What Eben was arguing is that contrary to Sean's statement, the possibility of consciousness existing beyond the physical realm and being able to influence the physical realm does not necessarily contradict the known laws of physics since quantum mechanics, if not proving this idea, at least makes it theoretically possible. And no, we have not resolved the core enigma of quantum mechanics that drove the founding fathers into mysticism. No body knows exactly how to interpret it, but it certainly does suggest that consciousness at some level and in some form is fundamental to reality while matter as we know it is not the fundamental reality.

  5. A lot of us are not even consciousness whille alive…..how in the world would we ever be able to understand how it works after we are gone from this body?
And so they think they got it? Is going to take forever and ever and they will not get it. How come that counciousness works faster than the tought? Before you think doing something you already know the outcome. First comes the answer and then the question. Shit this guy Eben is right in all his interviews when he says I got the answers before I finished the question. But he got that beeing in coma and I got that beeing in love. How not much different this experience is

  6. The problem with Sean Carroll's position and others in his camp is they think they are correct much more than the other side and that leads them to make dismissive statements like "Yes we do".
If you ask Sean Carroll his resolution to the debate he will tell you he believes in the "Many Worlds" solution in which whenever a measurement is made the universe divides into two's, then into four's, etc.  How convenient for him that the universe can be such a spendthrift. The fact of the matter is that among modern physicist's explanations the Copenhagen Interpretation still leads by a hefty margin.

  7. No they dont know better they dont know anything about Consciousness maybe they make new claims and new Fake Theorys about Consciousness like * Feedback loops * and such shit but they dont know realy what Consciousness is .
