Have you ever wondered what is happening inside a car when you press the clutch pedal? Or why do you need to press the clutch pedal before you shift gears in a manual transmission car? This video gives you logical answers to these questions. At the end of the video, we will also understand the crucial role played by the clutch in an uphill start.

So well explained ! Thanks
I already know how a clutch works, just here for the awesome animations!
My van was manual and the clutch broke in a mountain road Almost Crashed 🙁
I sent a link to this video to Kyrie
Good luck doing a proper hill start without a hand brake. Great video though
봐도 잘 이해가 안가네
Wow thanks for giving knowledge sir.
Back in 1973 i bought a 1969 Chevelle 396ci 4 speed the guy i got it from said it would be needing a clutch, it had 58,000 miles on it.. i was 17yrs, i thought my dad would help me get it fixed, he said why did you buy a car with a weak clutch, so i bought a Clutch / pressure plate and did it myself, it was Very easy, i was reading the comments and it looks like no one does anything their self these days, i have done many since then, Just done my 1989 Ford Bronco 4×4 302 ci 5 speed i wanted help because i only have Floor jacks, all my so friends were busy, So i ended up buying a Trans Jack, Damn, that made it even easier, if you ever have to do a trans or a clutch get a Trans Jack, the hardest part on the Bronco was bleeding it, LOL i ended up having my son help with that….
Wow!! Driver is on the wrong side of a car :O
I don't even own a car, but this was really interesting!
Y’all better ask step curry how to become clutch
Thats was so impressive to watch
Helpful, informative and above all, incredibly intelligible!
– a technophobic.
Best explanation i've seen so far. ??
i learned more from this them my whole time at Lincoln tech smh
When first time I learn to drive my father's C 200 Mercedes-Benz, without handbrake just like in the video, I really had hard times to adapt to that driving technique, finally I could adapt to it, and now I see the explanation video about that non handbrake system, eventhough I don't really understand it yet hahaha, btw thank you
4 years of engineering study of mine was demolished by your video
I drive manual from the UK but this bastard clutch ruins my life soo annoying always fiddling with it.
Wow
I don't get shit.
Nice video teach ,I’m Chinese
I dont even use clutch except for first and reverse gear
My brain ? hurts! ?
amazing animations. A manual transmission without a handbrake is like a male without a cock.
Amazing animation,, well done!
Who shifts from first to third gear?
Way too much fluff confusion and technical ramble for anyone learning to drive stick for first time who doesn’t know how cars work- also if you start on a actually steep hill that “clutch bite” trick won’t work for shit – your engine will stall and you will roll backwards. Cool video but not recommended for anyone looking for clear videos on how to learn manual trans
Who's invented first, this kind of great idea?
