Alphatucana
Is the mind matter? Is consciousness physical? A Canadian scientist has proposed a quantum test for dualism that might eventually lead to a solution of the mind body problem. It is based on the quantum theory tests that are already well-established for testing Bell’s Theorem, which is that no physical theory of local hidden variables can ever reproduce all of the predictions of quantum mechanics. Normally, these experiments, on the spin of electrons or the polarization of photons, clearly indicate that quantum mechanics is right and classical physics is wrong. But, Lucien Hardy suggests, what if we get the mind directly involved in the experiments too? If that produces results that violate quantum theory, then it could suggest that the mind is, in fact, non-physical in nature. This is, as far as I know, the first time in history that a test of the nature of the mind has been proposed that is based firmly on well-established mathematical theory and experimentation.

Man, I really want to see the results of this. I think everyone is hoping it proves there's more going on but the results are important either way.

I'd just add that Bells inequality is indeed violated by quantum mechanical experiments. This means that at least one of the assumptions / axioms of Bells inequality is wrong. Thoes are the following: Locality, Reality, Free will.
There is still room for a deterministic world and such, since there isnt to the best of my knowledge a theorem or experiment that suggests we remove one or another axiom.

And although we know that the body returns to the Earth from where it came, hardly anyone considers where goes the non-material soul that was responsible for things done in life when all three once held together.

The legal authority Hades exercises that allows it to detain bodiless souls in Hades until the resurrection to judgement is called The Law of Sin and Death…

2). Those who died in their sins having rejected God's provision for sin, even the death of His Son. These shall stand at The Great White Trone Judgement where having had their sins examined they shall thereafter be sentenced to a place in Hell worthy of their sin. [Rev 20:11-15]

Romans 8:2

…clearly states that those who accept Christ's payment for sin shall also receive His Spirit, and if the Spirit that raised Christ Jesus to eternal life is found in you, then it shall raise you to eternal life also.

But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
