AGD's eloquence cannot be surpassed. I am just devouring every video I can find that AGD presents on any artist. Today I learned aobut Gorky and his influence on the American art scence. It's a wonderful learning experience. Thank you so very much for all your hard work from California.
Another aftermath of the Armenian genocide 1915 cause by ottoman Turks …
Gorky was the most beautiful, sensitive, intelligent, original, and visionary of all the abstract expressionists.. And probably the most tragic figure in western art since Van gogh.
without any doubt, one of the greatest artists of the 20th century…….share his work!!!! ….as per usual AG Dixon…..clearly a man of much sensitive insight to many artists……always a pleasure to listen to him with his inclusive invitations to art….
respect for your job ….Arshil Gorky
People talk about Clyfford Still as if he was painting abstract works way before the likes of Rothko, Pollock and Kline. Can Gorky be credited as having influenced Still, or is the presenter wrong to credit Gorky with such originality?
did not know that. My cousin's name is vostanik 🙂
Mr A.G.D. always does presentations in a manner much enjoyed by myself.Thank you once again
Thank you ,after reading Herrera's Arshile Gorky,I enjoyed this video a lot, thanks again for your beautiful narration.
Thank you Andrew Graham for providing Gorkis life in such details.
This is a presentation at its best. Thank you Aandrew !
Andrew
We know Gorky
Now we know you
You read His sense …
You made Him alive
Through your soulful-honest phrases
You identified him more than he identified himself…
You gave his ' Painting-Identity'
That he was creator of new art …
Genius Art reached America with injured hands
Thrived on sweat remembering every second
His lost land and Mother's lap
Thanks Andrew and many thanks
Words can't chant what we feel
We feel that still there're humans
Who feel with Us & with our Arts
