This month has been all about GPT3 and self-supervised learning.
GPT3 is the latest in language modelling from OpenAI and self-supervised learning seeks to understand the inherent underlying patterns of the data itself which can then be used for more specific tasks later. It can result in up to 1000x fewer labels being required and still achieve the same results as supervised learning.

what have you been researching in the world of machine learning lately? anything I (or others) should check out?
I see Daniel I click simple ❤️
Dan can you tell m about SAP and their products should use in data science stuff like this
Like SAP hana?
GPT-3 is crazy, imagine typing, or even just speaking some pseudo-code, and then it converts it to whatever programming language you want. Crazy.
I think,GPT stands for Generative pre-trained transformer
If intelligence is a cake, the bulk of the cake is unsupervised learning, the icing on the cake is supervised learning, and the cherry on the cake is reinforcement learning (RL). – Yann LeCun
Being new and interested in ML, these updates are great . Maybe biweekly ?
Hello Daniel I see a new language Julia as fast as sometimes even faster than C, as easy as Python and it is dynamic. It specifically designed for machine learning, data science, numerical Computing from MIT. It solve a lot of problems, such as, two language problem, concurrency, parallelism, multiple dispatch, macros like lisp, math easy to implement, faster and powerful for big projects and more.
companies like NASA, Microsoft, Apple big companies use it.The only problem the stable version of it is released in 2018. That is why it is not so popular.
Do you think Julia is worth learning?
Hi Daniel, What courses do you recommend for learning topics about deep learning such as RNN, and LSTM? I am planning to take the fast.ai course and full stack deep learning but I am not sure if these two courses are enough
Would highly recommend checking out the YT channel: Yannic Kilcher. He frequently uploads videos explaining trending papers, both new and old. You should also check out the paper by Google on self supervised learning, a simple framework for contrastive learning of visual representations (Simclr). It's the current SOTA for self-supervised classification on Imagenet.
Silly question… where can I try GPT3, ie type something in and get a setence/paragraph in return?
Amazing content Daniel as usual. Thanks for sharing.
awesome
A guy asked a girl in a university library: "Do you mind if I sit beside you?" The girl replied with a loud voice: "NO! I DON'T WANT TO SPEND THE NIGHT WITH YOU!" All the students in the library started looking at the guy; he was pretty embarrassed. After a while the girl walked quietly over to the guy's table and said: "I study psychology, I know what a man is thinking. I guess you felt embarrassed, right?" The guy then responded with a loud voice: "$1000 FOR ONE NIGHT? THAT'S TOO MUCH!" All the people in the library looked at the girl in shock. The guy whispered "I guess you felt bad for what you did earlier, right? I study law; I know how to make someone feel guilty."
I love ur blog posts btw…..Great Resources..definitely gonna reasearch abt them!!!!Self Supervised ML..My new Waifu!!
I need to start following these Machine Learning Monthly articles! Awesome stuff Daniel!
Which one is better for machine learning and AI mac or windows?
Imagine an ai with 100 trillion parameters.
Can you share your methods or techniques on how you take notes on spontaneous events and taking notes when you're learning an online course.
Happy Born Day Daniel 🎊
May God Richly Bless you ❤️
Good day , I appreciate your videos and the thoughts you are sharing. Nowadays, I looking to learn deeplearning .ai course on the coursera. The thing is I know you have finished that course already, and you have this course already on your account and you are not using it. Could you lend me you coursera account for 2 months bro? One month is also enough, I would finish that ASAP!
Truly nice analysis!
