The event is a conversation between our invited guest, Kalle Pihlainen, and our department members, Britta Hochkirchen, Paula Diehl, and Lars Deile. The occasion is the recent publication of Pihlainen’s book The Work of History: Constructivism and a Politics of the Past (London and New York: Routledge, 2017), about which more information can be found at the publisher’s website:
A panel discussion will follow the short introduction of the book’s central themes and theses by the author. Eventually, we hope to broaden the dialogue and invite all participants of the event to join the conversation on the challenging ideas put forward by both the author and the discussants.
