I immediately downloaded a digital copy of his book, then proceeded to continue searching YouTube for the specific subject and that led me here.     Seriously, although I'm not in full agreement on your conclusions around the impersonal nature of the metaphysics of the conscious realm, I'm fascinated with the premise of consciousness being the fundamental element of reality.

    If meaning is connection, then why would your first cause (i.e. God) be impersonal and uninvolved? Why wouldn't it follow that our need to connect is a reflection of the first cause? Or is Dr Hoffman arguing that the larger God is reflection of the components including us? I need to finish his book… 🙂

20. Something which may help you visualize this is by reconsidering the pop culture definition of a plane or dimension, and invert the idea of multiple simultaneous instances of the same reality. Instead, imagine multiple experiences of one reality, based on different forms of concious agency, adapted to some shared, and some different forms of awareness of the one reality. In this reality, a dimension is the true place YOU, not your collection of matter, or subconscious agents, perceive exististence in.
    The really beautiful thing about our hosts stated goal is the idea of unlocking the key to healing conscious agents. It is easy to look at how healing in the future is portrayed as waving a wand around and producing spontaneous regeneration, stimulating the body to correct broken cells. Yes, mechanically, this is the desired effect. But to put this entire discussion into one belief of truth, you also have to accept that another way to express the action being taken in reality says that healing conscious agents is literally repairing love.
    And this is a beautiful goal, indeed.

Between all the sciences combined such as people in Bruce Lipton’s field and what I have learned with the yogic approach all the dots really connect to this conversation. I’ve listened to hundreds of hours of sadhguru which btw is mind blowing in how he teaches you to look within to be able to take control of your interface and unlock your consciousness to see beyond the icons and see reality for what it really is. 39. I'd be interested in hearing more about how you imagine changes in treating mental illness will look like. I find it intriguing also, and I'm wondering what forms that might take. Cognitive therapy that addresses different areas, or are you thinking medications?
