Post-modernism is, according to Stanford University on their philosophy encyclopedia, truly indefinable.
I can only approach it from a philosophical angle in this video. All I can do is set out certain themes, but if I had to try and sum up postmodernism in a sentence, I would say:
Postmodernism is an inescapable escape plan with no historical or conceptual context.

My understanding is that it's simply a reapplication of scientific methodology to the knowledge we've constructed during the modern era. It's skepticism, basically. Like what Howard Zinn did with A People's History of the United States by recontextualizing history with more diversity of perspectives appreciated. It's not very complicated ?
