Hi guys! I have been doing acrylic pouring for about 3 years, and it is time now to expand my creative process again to more abstract art forms (still acrylic pour is coming up). So I can learn and combine more. I am here making an acrylic absytract painting, just going with the ´flow´. After a day I decided something was missing, so there came the masking tape! I love the end result a LOT!
Let me know what you think about this painting?:)

I am using here winsor & newton Galleria acrylic paint, a catalyst wedge, spatula, flat brushes, masking tape and squeeze bottles.

There will be more abstract painting tutorials, experiments & techniques coming, if you like to follow me, you can subscribe to my channel and click the bell icon (so you will be notified whenever a new video is up). Also I’d very much appreciate any feedback. And of course I love to challenge myself, so if you have an idea, let me know in the comments and I’ll give it a try!

I am an abstract art addict, without a doubt. Playing with colors, testing out new art techniques, brands, sizes & collaborating with other abstract (fluid) artists; is the best. Since I started this journey I feel more balanced in my work and passion. If you see these painting tutorials and feel like, this is something for me: go for it! The fun thing about acrylic abstract painting is, that even though you do exactly the same, the outcome is different everytime. Also everybody has a different view of composition, colorcombinations and the way of doing a technique, what makes and keeps it so interesting to watch. Thank you for watching and following me in my modern art journey!

  1. you are so committed to your craft im sure you have trouble sleeping-thinking about new possibilities hard to keep up with you but you inspire me for sure with your compositions

  2. Hi Rinske; I love all you do and want to thank you for all you do for us!!! I tried to sign up into Skillshare Premium using your link and it says that I will get 14 days for free. 3. Beautiful Rinske. It's good to mix it up bit. Keeps the creative juices flowing. I'm binge watching. Trying to decide what technique to do next. I love testing the waters.

  4. Rinske ! I really enjoyed watching your use of the painters tape! I am still ( unfortunately) stuck between watching and painting…today, your reassurance that with abstract painting nothing "is wrong" was good to hear again. Thank you for sharing everything the way that you do ! 🙂

  5. I love what you do, I've been trying to copy some of your results. I'm still just an amateur but maybe someday, thank you for your tutoring

  6. First time I have seen your Risnska loved your background and your is centre expression you remind me of a famous artist in Australia Hugh Oliverio ,, a friend of mine,,,, just loved it thank you Preferred without the triangle

  7. Cool variety of techniques. It all looks very doable which is inspiring. Also, great mood music. Thank you for sharing. Oddly enough, I've been slightly fascinated with triangles lately.

  8. No disrespect but I don’t get it, why would you add an element so void of creativity to a piece that was originally so creatively unique and beautiful? I can see how you might have felt that, though it was beautiful, it also might have been a little understated, I can even see how the idea of a piece that blended the non-conforming flowing design of abstract with the defined precision of a geometric shape like a triangle could create a uniquely powerful image as long as the elements were creatively equal, contrast is good, as long as it is good contrast. A painting with the free flowing design of abstract contrasted by the hard lines of a Linear or Atmospheric perspective created triangle that also transitioned from opaque to transparent would indeed be a commanding piece, but abstract contrasted by a triangle that looks like an after thought made out of gold ribbon leftover from last years unwrapped Christmas presents…not so much…..

  9. Rinske you are such a gracious person to share your art journey with us… I love your teaching and sharing… thank you so much for all your insight… you are so inspiring and I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart… its the only art instruction that i get at home and it is through the internet… and you are my favorite… thank you again and again… you are a blessing to us all…..jj

  10. Hi Rinske,
Ths is Balthazar Gonsalves. I like that painting of yours, I'm an artist too but, I'm a 'Realistic Artist' with oil and watercolors paintings. My main subjects are Flowers, Butterflies, Birds and Horses. I'm not familiar with 'AbstractPaintings', but I'm fascinated with your abstract painting. Like the concept~ Freeland combined with Geometrical figures. I'm very much inspired by this concept. Thanks.

  11. I love the triangle! How long do you have to wait for the paint to dry before you put the masking tape on the canvas? I want to try but I'm afraid the tape will pull the paint off.

  12. You're so good! I love your art. And you are so pleasant, lovely smile and your voice is easy on the ears. I wish I could mute as I don't care for the music. But I don't want to miss anything you say. Thank you so much for sharing your work!

  13. Love love love these paintings! Do you add anything to your acrylic paints when doing your beautifully blended backgrounds to keep the paint from drying too fast? I am inspired by this technique. Have you ever tried splashing isopropyl alcohol?
