This is the first episode and the first step in painting this portrait. This video consists of doing the graphs or grid lines to copy the exact form of the reference photo. This also includes the first layer of painting the face or the base color which includes adding the dark lines or tones of the important parts of the face. The next episode will be on the next day. Could someone explain me why he painted over the white of the eyes and the teeth with some kind of light color? I didn't catch the explanation. Also wanted to say that this is a beautiful painting

Did you use a retarder to slow down the drying time so that the blending was easier.
Awesome!! I have a question.. acrylic is drying very fast and do not bland very well. Can you give some tips how to keep it wet except diluting with water. Thank you ?
