How does an AI artist maintain consistency with a recurring character? While AI art may appear to involve just a few clicks, it can be quite time-consuming.
The video above demonstrates the abridged workflow of the anonymous creator behind “Stelfie” — a time-traveling selfie-taker. The artist’s process involves custom 3D-generated heads, initial sketches, and extensive toggling between Photoshop and the AI program Stable Diffusion to achieve the ideal appearance.
Throughout this process, the artist employs typical AI art tools such as inpainting (modifying specific image areas), outpainting (extending beyond the frame), and denoising (controlling image alterations). AI art can be as labor-intensive as traditional art, but its distinct outcomes make the final product unique.

man does the bare minimum
Workflow, puke on the keyboard. See what buttons click, generate AI Art.
professional artist here; comments are making me sad on this video. I'm just happy that he actually puts effort in to manipulate images like you would in photoshop, just with a different set of tools, and without yoinking the style of a different contemporary artist. It has originality and soul to it.
"art"
This is just Ai photoshopping lol
Don't let people on YouTube decide whether or not your work is considered true and correct art because of the process you choose to use
Still too much time
man i cant wait to become an AI lawyer someday….
This is how AI should be used. As an artist, I just don’t agree that the stuff generated from prompts alone is art. AI doesn’t have emotions in its current form, so it cannot include emotions in something to make it art. Art is meant to transfer those feelings and emotions, portray a moment or emotion. AI can’t do that, not without a person using it as a tool to create THEIR artwork. Plus AI art, when it’s just someone typing in some text and it converging it to an image, has a huge problem with what’s basically copying. When a person uses parts of another’s work, they use different references and artworks (it’s generally frowned upon by the community to just copy from one without them giving credit, which AI never does obviously) and they give their own style and emotions to it. They give it meaning and that human touch. AI can’t do that, so it just splices together pieces of other’s hard work to create it’s ‘art’. That’s when it’s stealing.
Yeah, getting nice images from AI is a multi-hour project. However, that's just at the moment, soon it will be a minute project.
AIBro: "*presses buttons on Kioske, burger and fries comes out* I'm an artist ya'll! 😀 "
“Artist”
ai artists aren't "artists", an artist actually makes efforts in their art, instead of begin fully useless and needing the help of an ai to make the proportions for them.
Artists are people who spend their lives practicing, honing their skills until they reach a certain level, People who just type on a computer ask to be called an artist, never use the word "artist" for someone who has never done anything to hone their skills That is an insult to all the artist's hard work so far
Is this a parody?
To be honest, the work process is insanely boring and does not cause any feelings. The only feeling is that there is more work. WORK….
I explain, creative people get pleasure from the creative process, I don't see pleasure here, I only see work.
This is a photobash in the form of text!
Can you believe these new printing presses? they take all the skill out of writing … this will ruin the industry!
Probably would have saved time with the poses by taking reference photos of the poses then importing them into AI rather than keep regenerating and hoping AI will eventually generate what you envision.
