  1. What reading is that from? Sounds like 'The Artworld' from 1964. The first time the phrase 'artworld' was used. He had refined his stance to some degree. Danto's main points, that art is the embodiment of meaning, and that aesthetic value is not necessarily pertinent, are persuasively argued.
