Artificial intelligence(AI) in consumer devices will highlight the 2017 Consumer Electronics Show(CES) that opens Thursday at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
Gadget lovers will find a large range of AI devices designed for daily use at the show, such as table lamps that use voice commands, belts capable of measuring waist size and counting steps and even an AI apparatus for adjusting the temperature within one’s shoes.
It is estimated that by the year 2018, AI technology will be adopted by at least 6 billion devices worldwide, which leads to expectations that the AI market will reach 5.05 billion U.S. dollars by 2020.
CES is an annual trade show organized by the U.S. Consumer Technology Association.
Held every year in January at the Las Vegas Convention Center, the event typically hosts presentations of new products and technologies in the consumer electronics industry.
