Boston Dynamics
Meet Tom, a software engineer at Boston Dynamics, as he shares insights on programming and testing the practical—and impractical—applications of robotics. Whether Spot is conducting inspections or playing an instrument, learn how we go from code on a computer to actions in the real world.

Достигли предела, дальше бесконечное топтание на месте. Где польза, реальное применение!? – Нигде! …Уже шестого хозяина сменили, последний корейский Хюндай.
Idk this Tom bot is okay but he didn't do funny dance 😠
Я круче. Робот Фёдор.
Meet the engineer
Meet Tom, a software engineer at Boston Dynamics. He doesn't know the phrase "just because you can, doesn't mean you should".
Can engineers build their own software based on Spot's API? Does the API provide high-level data, like objects or paths detected, or is it possible to have raw data from the sensors and camera/LiDAR?
Is Boston Dynamics ever going to do something worth while? Just fake dogs? Ok
My name is Walther Hartwell White
Hi, I am a regular follower of Boston Dynamics, I got a really heart breaking news from Pro-Robots, that You are going to stop Atlas Project, is it True? Please confirm. I think Atlas is the output of most Advanced research in the field of Humanoid Robotics around the World. Everybody In the world knows Boston Dynamics due to mainly for PETman and Atlas.
Everyone in the world has a expection that one day Atlas will 100% Autonomous robot with human level intelligence and skill.
So I am very eager to know where the research of Atlas will be continued in the future or not. Please Please Kindly reply 🙏🙏
Great video! Thank you. Question: What is the worst part about working at Boston Dynamics?
👍🔥🔥🔥
I should have studied in college.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
We're here for robots, not for leather bags of bones.
Nice
I wanna buy his t shirt
Damn, didn’t know we are that far … a robot, that talks about how it programs other robots 😮
Sorry, but it feels a little bit cringe (not at overall level of Boston Dinamics)
Very informative. Thank you.
Apart from unmanned surveillance what other tasks can spot perform?
they should make atlas play basketball
why almost all the people who studied computer science looks like virgins or reddit mods
1:27 that makeshift monitor height extension though with the book lol.
Amazing! I thought their "Jensen" bot that does nVidia presentations was impressive.
But Tom is next level… 😁
Is Tom the robot?
You are the best!
Great video, these guys are Amazing!
how much money does he earn?
I was born so, so, so much too soon.
Seriously, without video games, probably nobody would want to study computer science lol
printeds the indsumer from the acoplates kaligraficoz come on have anciety of atuend my on colombia country put have person what into of rlevation militar of the what ion intet of upload you to be celous cam on actions of hurt from what my send delivery on correct time my productsbrand
What CPU is running Spot?
Love what you're doing Boston Dynamics
Can you load Spot with an AI, for example gpt3. Did you try it already?
Hi 😀 i have questions : What are the painful parts about working at Boston Dynamics ? Do you use autonom deep leaning neuronal networks ? What are your goals for the future ? tysm 🥰
We just want the sausages, not the method.
From all the superb games he likes super Mario & sim city 🤦🏻
Tom looks real great job Boston
Старые роботы уже несколько лет показываете не чем порадовать ?
It may or may not be useless but adding a communication between spots could be a very fun addition. Imagine multiples spots that are not related cross each other in a street. They can exchange datas (traffic, anomalies,…) to help each other, and, because they are dog like robots, do some dog meeting reaction if they are allowed to. Like jiggling or turning around each other !
This protocol droid Tom is way better that C3PO
Less of the iPhone vids. More dynamics
Ive recently been wondering the plans Boston dynamics had for the future of ice skating robots
