From the first conversation with Chris Brown – showing the concept of calculating the total effective gravity field for the star light, as encompassing all the mass in a giant “sphere” with the radius of the distance bewteen the star and the observer. All the mass will generate a gravity field that influences the light wave and stretches it out.
This is fundamental to the idea that distant galaxies are redshifted because of Einstein’s Gravitational Redshift.
