3. I love my r5….got two,,,as a matter of fact…my girlfriend has the trek emonda slr 9 that is pretty worn , and needs a new bike,,,she wants another slr cuz its so light, i'm trying to get her to get an r5…what can I tell her to changer her mind??

4. Always enjoy your reviews Andy thanks. To me the R3 rim brake bike is the one to own…it is pretty close to the R5 shape…same massive downtube and BB..but not quite as stiff…only a hint…and therefore even more forgiving on the rough stuff. R3 is also a fair amount less money only for a few grams heavier…still a 1000 gram frameset. I bought mine with Di2 and replaced it with Campy Chorus mechanical.
   Best classic bike…certainly among the best. To me the R5 maybe a negligible amount racier…or rather..feel like it is because the fractionally tauter carbon telegraphs more road chatter, but probably the guy with 10 more watts on either bike will win.
