China’s New AI Robot Is So Good and Cheap It’s Scary: Unitree R1

AI Revolution

Unitree has just released the R1, a full-size humanoid robot priced at only $5,900, making it one of the most affordable AI-powered robots ever sold to the public. The R1 features advanced mobility, voice recognition, real-time visual input, and an open SDK for developers, allowing it to walk, flip, balance, and interact using AI. This marks a major milestone in humanoid robotics, with China now leading the push to bring agile, intelligent robots into everyday life.

🧠 What You’ll See:
• Unitree launches a full-size humanoid robot for just $5,900
• R1 walks, flips, kicks, and balances with real-time AI
• Voice recognition, visual input, and open SDK for full customization
• How this robot compares to Tesla Optimus, Atlas, and Digit
• Why this launch changes the game for humanoid robotics

🚨 Why It Matters:
This isn’t just another robot demo. Unitree’s R1 makes advanced AI robotics affordable, functional, and available to the public—something no one else has done at this scale. And the rest of the world’s still catching up.

  1. Dangerous, no control over buying and what happens if they go weird.
Also waste of time !! Money, resource making them . Lithium , more demand on precious metal mining!

  2. the price point reflects a few things… R1 capability and build… but i think this price is a strategy to flood the market with cheaper human droids that reduces profits for other players… very impressive that they include unlocked open source software so that it could be tweaked to perform in a vastly different way. this software may be retro fitted to future droids when they outlaw open source in droids.. don't be fooled by some kind of quality claims coz if China can manufacture this, they could also make a much stronger version, longer battery life, and various materials making it extremely tough… America should be aware that all the flag waving and claiming to be number 1 at everything is just waffle and megalomania from a nation with a massive identity crisis. it's a big world now.

  3. Noi Chinese history when they make stuff it doesn't last everything that built does not last took the African country who bought military equipment talk to talk to Saudi Arabia talk to the story of Boris defense system from China they suck is it horrible bill that was the biggest bridge that fell apart China does not know how to build things I buy American built better by looking at the video of the robot it has some glitches on it go to Boston Dynamics you learn something

  4. Quite impressive how it can MOVE. Can it empty a dishwasher? If not, which upcoming version WILL be able to do that? Is that planned?
How many degrees of freedom IN THE HANDS? Optimus 3 has 24 degrees of freedom IN EACH HAND ALONE.
Actually I don't think the Tesla Optimus can empty a diswasher either yet, but it's getting closer. Your product certain has an amazingly low price tag.

  5. Lack of hands limits it, but overall mobility is awesome. It would be fun to have long range WASD controls for something like this over mobile data – maybe even using a cell phone sim card. The AI would only need to be advanced enough to keep it out of trouble or "return home" in the case of lost or jammed signal.

  6. ☹️Makes humanity slaves, are people blind.
Humanity will become dependent, making humanity slaves( money, food, repairs, factories, manufacturing, etc) , robots won't listen especially in pharma, silencing humanity.
Smart grid, will also be inside robots, putting people inside a cage. It's not a good thing . When up!!☹️💔👹

  7. I won't be owning any Ai robots anytime soon. My broke a** can't afford sh*t.
    And, I'm okay with that.
As expected, I'll be watching by the sidelines.

I wish robotic companies and all buying customers the best, enjoy!

  8. This is a completely AI video look at the sky and tell me those are the skies that we see today I mean granted back in the '80s that's the sky we saw but now we have chemtrail sky we don't get beautiful puffy clouds

  9. If the available humanoid tobots today are so impressive, the MFG should show their models doing realistic domestic tasks like making a PBJ sandwich, or more industrial dextrous tasks like measuring cutting then installing base molding in a living room or working aside humans on an automotive assembly line or perhaps playing against a human in a tennis match or playing catch with a football or baseball.

I keep hearing people say that robots are becoming so real you cannot tell they are a robot.
    I CALL BS!
Yes, you can purpose build a robot to perform specific tasks like welding a steel frame together or sweeping the sidewalk, but they would not look like a person or even be able to walk away when the task is complete. To effectively perform said tasks, they would have articulating appendages that look nothing like a human and require human programming and control for each individual task performed.

There is nowhere near enough intellectual memory, precise dexterity, or rational processing available with current modern technology to make it happen, nor will there be for another 50 years.

Sex robots, well that's an easy one. Just cutting a hole in a watermelon will suffice for most male horndogs😭
