Amazing guitar solo, so free and loose — great vocals as well, amazing tune — so heartfelt.
Why no more comments for this great 70' s track
heavenly

What a great testament of raw, soulful, visceral rock and roll! Hot Damn that is epic!

🎶 I don't know how to begin it
I don't know what's in it
And I know how, dear, how it's gonna end
But if you wait a minute
I think I'm sure to win it
And maybe you'd be my friend
Believe me, I didn't want to shout it
I really don't know much about it
But if you listen now
I show you what I mean
Once I always thought
That I'll never miss
I really do think, ah
Long time ago
But now I'm a few years older
And I know that after the music's all over
There's nothing left to me
But this
Emptiness will be all around me
I know that
Silence will have finally found me
Oh, and I really did dress up tonight for you
I brought my best suit for you
And I know that my buttons ain't done up right, my hairs all a mess and all the rest, but
I really do try to be smart for you
Pull on my best face, my best eyes, my best everything for you
And you know that hat you gave me
Oh I'm so sorry but one windy day it blew off my head
And into the river
Oh I spent all night searching for it
And the dawn was so slow coming up that day
Oh yeah
I did everything I did
I did everything I did
I did everything I did
For you
Yeah once I thought
That I'll never, never, never ever miss
But now I'm a few years older
And I know that after the music's all over
There's nothing left to me
But this
Yeah, emptiness will be all around me
I know that
Silence will have finally found me
And you could left me
I did it all
I did everything for you
I know that my buttons ain't done up right, my hairs all a mess and all the rest
I really did try to be… for you
Everything I did was for you
And I really, I'm sorry about that hat
I was searching all night, really
Oh and the dawn was so slow coming up that day
I did it all
I did everything I did
Yeah, I did everything for you
I did it all
I did it all
I did it all for you
Everything I did for you
Everything I did I did for you
For you 🎶

Wish you would have played at Knighton festival 1970 i have been told you were out of you faces and were unable to play 🙁 i was there and got busted so i probable would have missed you as i got dragged off to the police station 😉
Bought this album over 40 years ago,and still listen to it.Best suit and in another way, best songs ever.
What a great song , what a lyrics , what a vocal and ……what a amazing, unbelieveble extra ordinary guitar solo ( it's always hit straight to my heart ) …what can i say anymore ?
