@FlippedNormals Great video. Do you have a link to this danish painter or painting? Can't find him.
Just a wuick question,How important is Monitor Settings for Correct Texturing, also what are some settings suggestions you may have?
9:30 what's the name of this painting !?
Do any of you have advice on a good computer monitor for accurate color reproduction/reference? So far I'm looking at a ViewSonic VP2468 & BenQ BL2420PT. Thanks!
19:30 Yep that's epic. I googled Hudson River School when it was first mentioned and spent 5 mins marveling at how amazing that painting was.
it was worthy especially Hudson river school.
Yes, more vidoes on colour theory, composition…basically all the art fundamentals. It's not easy finding great, entertaining content on the fundamentals and you guys do a great job.
That adobe colour wheel is pretty cool . great talk thanks
Right on time just before my Color Theory final exam, thanks guys!
All color wheels are false.
Im mexican, and i can confirm that we see everything though an orange filter
Thank you so much for the videos they have all helped and motivated me. More color, yes please! 🙂
Yeah! Thanks. More fundamentals!
You guys make great videos. Why do you never created a tutorial on how to create hairs in maya?
I love your channel. Thank your for all these great videos!
Hey there, I love your videos but there is one thing I think you could improve on. Often times, when you mention a name of an artist I simply cannot understand, his name because you seem to be brushing over it as if most people know them. It would be cool if you could just put a quick annotation on screen or mention them in the comments. That way people could find the artists you a referring to more easily. Anyway keep the amazing content up, much love!
I'm pretty sure in the book you recommended, james gurney's color and light, he says that any of the colors can make claim to being a primary. ie, cmyk in printers. Saying red, yellow and blue can't be mixed is false???
and he shared like 3 different types of color wheels there which confuses the heck out of me
Red Dead Redemption 2's landscapes were so inspired from Hud River school's art and boy! it looks like every frame a painting.
As always great video guys, and thanks for the color mixing technique, gotta use that a lot from now on.
Do you guys have a video going over that Adobe page subject specifically?
Why, When would one want to use either the Analogous, Monochromatic, Triad, Complementary, Compound, etc.?
I mean, when to use one palette over another… its basic purpose?
plz do more of Color theory when you time )
Would be nice if at least some of the excess white was limited. This vid is a bit long for talking about color, when almost half the screen is glaring
Awesome tutorials, I think another way to look at saturation is Richness to Bleached outness. At least that is how I was taught to see it and practice it works for me.
Great video as always but im just going to take a second to thank Youtube for putting in the great feature of double commercials 👍
Seriously jealous of how much actual GOOD information is out here on the internet now for young artists these days. I'm 31 and as a kid I had nothing but idiots teaching me literally not to use reference when drawing because it was "copying".
Are you from Denmark? your accent sound somewhat like it
alternative title for this video could be "how to draw a happy little cloud!" love your content guys, keep it up!
I would like to see more of these in the near future, yess!
Your channel is really useful. Would love to see some videos on the scientific side of colour talking about the different colour spaces, ACES, OCIO, filmic tonemapping etc 🙂
