Very interesting…but there is not much on non-local and collective conciousness. The concious detector is rather cool(and a bit scary) though.
The depth of understanding of LLM and microelectronics and biological systems, makes this a highly underrated presentation. ❤👍
Sir what is consciousness according to christof is fundamental property or emarge out of matter please answer me sir
Superb interview.
What he has said shows that a drug experience is meaningless; it gives no insights. He does not believe the soul exists; that shows it gives no real knowledge. It would be better to sit and meditate he would learn something.
I recommend checking out Andrew Gallimore and his book "Reality Switch Technologies."
Excellent thought provoking discussion!

Absolutely crucial & awesomely-clarified distinction between intelligence & consciousness.
People mix up the two all the time.
Properly understood (as here) – you see that even AI & consciousness have nothing to do with each other.
Side note – folk also mix up very sophisticated algorithms & connected feedback & actuation systems – but still simply algorithms – with 'AI'. For example – Boston Dynamics' Atlas robot & all the gymnastics it can do. It's not AI – just because it's a bipedal & capable robot!
I like analytic idealism. The most parsimonious ontology.
I have had 5 high dose psilocybin trips recently. They have all been profound. The last one though was different. I became very ill heart problems. Prolonged hypoxemia, pulmonary edema. I didn't have a body, if you know what I mean. I did experience suffering, but not pain.
fascinating, as always
