24. I gotta be honest, r6 has been one of the longest grinds of my entire gaming life. I’m level 130 after maybe 2 years and I still have 6 operators left to get. I ain’t putting in anymore money into a game than I have to. Also, I think you champs give golds and plats too hard of a time. Like most of us are below level 200 and only have one account above level 50. Plus a lot of us play more than one fps game and constantly making the adjustment from different aim curves, play styles and switching from aim assist to no aim assist on a different aim curve… it may seem like getting into diamond or champ is easy to you but remember that those players are 1) the top probably 5% in the world on their respective platform 2) play the game nearly nonstop or have almost 500 levels worth of experience across different accounts 3) have dedicated teams on r6 that will readily queue up in a matter of minutes because there’s probably always someone on. Lets talk about the insane learning curves to r6 now. You have the obvious one which is learning to play without aim assist and on a different aim curve. Then you also have a game where (even in ranked) not all the operators are unlocked for you unless you shell out more cash to get them. This means that you can’t experiment with all the different operators leaving you stuck to struggle with the bottom lines (which some of them are good) leaving you to wonder if you would do better with the ones you don’t have. I know you say that xims are trash and a lot of the community will agree. But to someone who isn’t grinding r6 everyday, anyone on xim will wipe the floor with me because my aim is poopy compared to them. I’ve only made it into plat 2 times throughout the 2 years I’ve been on the game. That’s solo q too because I don’t have a dedicated team who will always be on and I don’t feel like finding a team who expects me to be on at any moment. And queuing up with people from lfg is a nightmare as I’m sure you’re aware. No one takes responsibility and if you do then they just attack you more. If you aren’t a champ who’s chilling in plat then you’re trash to them. No one even listens to call outs, they just go off and do whatever they want. No one picks operators based on location or what other team members are picking. Bottom line, getting diamond or champ on console is incredibly hard if you aren’t dedicating half your life to it and don’t have people who will do the same.
