Conversations at the Intersection: Booth, Goldberg, and Dunning Explore the Nature of Creativity

Creativity is essential in art, in science, and in technology. But in what ways is creativity in these three areas different? Are there creative processes and lessons that can be transferred across domains? In what ways do the domains intersect and enrich each other? This new series will invite the top minds from across these domains to consider the nature and process of creativity.

Moderated by McCormick Dean Julio M. Ottino, the second installment of the “Conversations at the Intersection” series featured Larry Booth, the Richard C. Halpern/RISE International Distinguished Architect in Residence and founder of Booth Hansen Associates; Jeanne Dunning, professor of art theory and practice in the Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences; and Sandy Goldberg, professor and chair of Weinberg’s philosophy department.

The event took place on November 12, 2014 in the Ford Motor Company Engineering Design Center.
