According to Quantum Physics, the observer changes the thing being observed
merely by observing it. This way, surveillance influences our lives directly and indirectly.

What if no one is watching the screen?
Brilliant. thanks for that. The observers attention will the one observed. We can hold up a cosmic mirror.
I'm sure it's a two way connection,so accepting the gaze of another will indeed transform the observer!
That's great news… thanks 🙂
Interesting idea about behaviour change due to observation, although I'm not entirely sure what the copenhagen interpretation of wave function collapse has to do with it ? perhaps it's more psychological, than QM
It's never right to observe anyone and the amount of surveillance going on is far more than perhaps we know
very well said
Indeed. Will the virtual panopticon create a society of prisoners? Are the 'controllers' in full knowledge of the observer effect and therefore 'steering' the populace in a direction of their choice? I think they are, because most people are 'asleep at the wheel'.
Quite familiar with the quantum effect, but never thought of applying it in this aspect, interesting concept.
cool 🙂
I guess people could become more self-aware, which could be a good thing.
Well that could change the way everyone acts…
I deleted it then posted it again with more. It must have displayed twice for some reason.
I agree
