  1. One thing that is driving me crazy is how fucking brilliant and new their music is, and how it can still be so underground. Of course it is a experimental music group, and people are generally turned off by it, but for me, this is what we are needing nowadays. Like you said in the video, rappers just don't seem to be dangerous anymore, and rock music doesn't seem to be going nowhere, so Death Grips is combining all this and making something that is totally fresh and embraces the culture of current music. I think Death Grips is the avant-garde band that we all need today and if more groups won't get inspired by what they are doing and make more music in this shape, I think I have to stand out and do it myself. In resume, I fucking love Death Grips, man.

  2. I am a suburban kid who once got lectured by my mom on how DG is just a bunch of mindless noise and yelling. She said I can listen to it but I needed to recognize that my music taste was basically trash.

  3. how I explain dg is imagine you over dose on a un discovered drug during a music festival but that music playing was weird and trippy and the music was what the drug was made out of.

  4. Old school hip hop gangsta rap used to give me a sense of dread. Exmilitary gave ne that same feeling I felt as a 10 year old kid listening to geto boys

  5. If this is the face of post-modernism, art is dead.

Daily reminder that edginess and pretentiousness has never molded so perfectly, or in this case, more terribly, than with the horrid formation of Death Grips. Their samples fail to properly convey anything else other than their moronic barbarian ideologies, and MC Ride's "rapping" could be surpassed by any asylum patient with a hole in their head. If simplistic gibberish akin to cavemen bonking their heads with rocks is in anyway appealing to you, then you've failed to understand the beauty of music. Someone should escort you out the proverbial door and let you fall into the ravine of skeletons. Immature beasts.

  6. I always describe death grips as the music a teenager is listening to in a movie set in a mildly dystopian future, while his parents, both dressed in silver double-breasted suits discuss him being sent to juvenile space detention. Or I say "this is a noise you probably won't enjoy."
