AI is still a small part of our lives, and nobody expects any serious problems in the coming years. But AI develops further. Now most AI applications can do only one thing, like curing cancer or translating. The coming generation of AI can de multiple tasks exponentially better than us.
An AI-enabled future can bring us enormous prosperity. But there is also the risk that just a few companies or governments control the AI systems to their advantage. Or even worse: A powerful and independent thinking AI machine decides not to listen any more to us.
We explored the six most likely scenarios, how this exactly might happen.
If we know how we can lose control, we can take measurements to prevent this from happening.
The goal of www.tamingtheaibeast.org is to create awareness of the existential risks of AI and to developed a set of solutions that can keep the future safe for our children.

Sure, you have some decent points… but it’s hard to listen to when you can’t get basic terms right.
