Engineering for Kids – Sketch Bot Workshop

We enjoyed working with all students and helping them experience the field of Electrical Engineering. This workshop was not only about learning how to build a Sketch Bot, but also to help them gain life skills.

Thomas Edison said, “I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.” We truly believe that students should be given the opportunity to explore how things work and use their creativity and imagination to build engineering projects, all while encountering many obstacles along the way.

As an engineer and educator, we understand the importance of providing learning opportunities with enough challenges to promote fine motor skill development, cognitive development, critical thinking, and the ability to problem solve.

Engineering for Kids of Boise Metro helps children gain the skills necessary to succeed in STEM Fields. Through after school programs, summer camps, and workshops, we aim to provide children with the tools and knowledge to fulfill their vision.

Engineering for Kids of Boise Metro brings Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) to children ages 4-14 in a fun and challenging way though hands-on activities like building and programming robots, launching rockets, and building bridges. We are proud to inspire the next generation of engineers.

Idaho is lacking STEM Education. Our school system is not providing strong STEM programs. We would like to be a solution to this problem by inspiring children to build on their natural curiosity by applying real-world engineering concepts through hands-on learning.
