A third year engineering student Priyanjali Gupta has developed an Artificial Intelligence (AI) model that is able to translate sign language into English in real-time. She is a third year computer science student at Vellore Institute of Technology.
According to Priyanjali’s post, she developed the AI model using Tensorflow object detection API that can translate hand signs using transfer learning from a pre-trained model named ssd_mobilenet.
