  1. There is no story of consciousness because the true nature of consciousness is impersonal. All stories are personal and are about the drama of a person living a life in the world. That world is no more real than a virtual reality and the person is no more real than a character in the virtual reality. The true impersonal nature of consciousness is only watching events unfold in that virtual reality, like an observer in a movie audience that is only watching events unfold in the movie. The observer of the movie is always outside the movie and is only watching as the story of the person unfolds. Consciousness only appears to have a personal story if it believes itself to be a person in the world that it perceives. All personal self-concepts are delusional beliefs that consciousness falsely believes about itself.
The true story of consciousness is no story.

  2. Beautiful but how to see things from Mary's point of view ?
Is there any way or do we have to take it just for granted ?

  3. I have done a lots Ov researches even for more than a decade,
I even asked him but the answer was more confusing . The old question about Consciousness and awareness. Some said these two are different from each other, some other said awareness means to be above a conscious being, please let me know about your opinions. Best Regards.

  4. Everything is created twice; first in the mind ( consciousness) and then in the world.Their seems to be a creative force within satchitananda that is aware of itself.

  5. Dear Rupert, one Chinesse proverb say “Tension is who you think you should be. Relaxation is who you are.” Is just the relaxation abiding as self? Is relaxation better, accurate word than nonduality? We have to find a way how to relax. Relax is a way to heal animals, humans, etc.

  6. Excellent. Rupert seems to take a clear position that inanimate matter is not conscious, although made of consciousness. I'll continue to mediate on this teaching. Thank you.

  7. so if consciousness and existence cant be separated than since existence or matter that rupert says is dead .. isnt that also aware since its not separated from consciousness?

  8. I think I need to put the speed at like 0.5 so I can absorb this stuff. It's total virtuosic genius in every line, but for it to penetrate deeper into my being, I need to slow it down. It's like listening to Glenn Gould play Bach 🙂 Thank you Rupert!

  9. I have a major point of contention with his description. He states that mind and existence are separated with the mind being alive and existence being dead. However, there are other living organisms which have mind and are experiencing the same inert matter, which means the existence is not actually created in the same context of which he is speaking, as the other living organisms and the awareness of the other living organisms is not being created by the primary observer. While the interpretation of the existence belongs to the mind of the observer, the existence itself is there whether or not that person, or anyone else, is observing it. Let us say that late one night a meteor falls from the sky and lands on your neighbor's car. If everyone is asleep and no one was there to witness the event, that does not mean it did not occur, because once everyone wakes up to the explosion, they will be able to go outside and see the results of the event. If, however, there happened to be someone coming home late and they actually witnessed the event, the event itself is not changed in the least. The observer or observers have absolutely no control of if, how, when, what, or why the event occurred and any observer can witness the same event or the results of the same event, albeit with a slightly different point of view and possibly interpretation. Therefore, the event and results of the event are not of the mind's creation. We are experiencing events for the most part and only have partial control of some events and certain portions of existence. In that sense, existence is actually creating us more than we are creating it. Our interpretation of existence is not existence itself.
