BLYTHE EDELMAN
First students looked at André Derain’s landscapes. We noticed his sketchy short strokes of color and the wild, unnatural hues.
For this art lesson, you choose any familiar landscape you like. It can be your house, your block, a favorite store or building- or even a park landscape.
After you draw it, trace it with a Sharpie (or black marker) so it will look bold. Next add color in wild, different ways. When your picture is all filled with wild color, your landscape will be complete!
