I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Ishiguro and his team at Osaka University in December. These robots are very neat, especially to see in person.

Robotics is advancing at an incredible pace these days! The "eye blink" needs fuller movement (fully closed to medial open) and the mouth/speech synchronization needs improvement, but all in all, a great step forward.
Soon woman will become obsolete. Shame that the supreme gentleman won't be here to see his visions come true.

Android rights are just around the corner. So don't think as an "owner" you will be able to do as you please. What if the bot is not in the "mood"? And you do as you wish anyway… It can probably autodial 911 and you are arrested . I can just see the commercials for robot justice attorney's.
