One of the things I love about this conversation is the mutual respect each has for the others, and how they all really seem to enjoy each other's company, with everyone being on the same page, as it were. It brings me back to fond memories of get togethers that my parents would host maybe once a year at our house. There were discussions going on, with everyone in a good mood and happy in each other's company; grateful to be among agreeable, like-minded peers. Nobody was grand standing (except occasionally my father- but everyone expected that after he'd had a few). I miss those days so much. Maybe that's why I keep coming back to this video.

"Only religion tries"? come on., that is non sense. what about this discussion? and many other philosophy movements and university discussions about highly beautiful themes? what about all those arts like painting, sculptures, movies, poetry, and music, without any connections to religions? humans certainly can and do go beyond mere western materialistic consumption. We are able and certainly do thrive in this ability. The fact that majority might be trapped within money making and watching trashy TV programs does not make the point.

35. "Natural Selection" is simply a trivial occurrence caused by rigid natural principles. It is not the cause or reason for anything. The laws are mandating it. Atheists believe there is no difference between harmony and disorder; and nature is governed by "randomness" and "disturbance"! Theist intellectuals passionately believe in the universe's intelligent design and the specific laws that govern it. Who is the adversary of science and evidence? Theists or atheists?

36. I find Christianity to be far the most annoying. It's so pervasive & normalized, people you think know better suddenly one day flip a switch and say I found Jesus therefore yay Christianity. You can intuit there is no Sky Daddy, but if ya study religion, ya can argue even if it's true it's diabolically harmful. Why didn't Jesus manifest in a land like China where they had paper? Why would a God write such convulted non communicative claptrap that causes people to kill each other? why don't Gods address the serious issues?
